Dr. Beals is an osteopathic physician who focuses on healing the body using osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). This type of hands-on treatment is a minimally-invasive and holistic way of approaching body pain and dysfunction in all ages, and is used to treat a variety of conditions.
Dr. Beals received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1995. She completed her internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1996. She then completed a two-year residency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (the name soon-after changed to Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment) at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, associated with Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1999. Dr. Beals is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Beals has been in private practice since 1999, with a focus on acute and chronic pain. Other interests include healthy, traditional foods and nutrition counseling.
Dr. Beals has an adult son, Billy.
INSURANCE
We accept most Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans, Medicare and some Military plans (Champus and Tricare).
We do not participate with Blue Care Network (BCN) or any other HMO's.
If you have a different insurance carrier, you will pay at the time of the visit and we will give you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You are encouraged to check with your insurance plan before you submit. We can give you the billing codes that we typically use if you need them.
